1. General Information on the University of the Balearic Islands and the University-Enterprise Foundation of the Balearic Islands

In accordance with the duty to inform set out in article 10 of Act 34/2002 of 11th July on the Information Society and Electronic Commerce Services, the following information is provided: the owner of the website is the University-Enterprise Foundation of the Balearic Islands (hereinafter the FUEIB) domiciled for these purposes at Ctra. 2. Intellectual and Industrial Property

The FUEIB and the University of the Balearic Islands (hereinafter the UIB) own all intellectual and industrial property rights over their websites, as well as the content thereon (e.g. images, sound, audio, video, software or texts; trademarks or logos, colour combinations, structure and design, the selection of the material used, the necessary computer programmes for its operation, access and use, etc.), owned by the FUEIB and the UIB, or their licensing bodies.

All rights reserved. By virtue of what is set out in articles 8 and 32.1, paragraph two, of the Intellectual Property Act, the reproduction, distribution and public broadcast, including the method of availability, of all or part of the content of this website for commercial purposes is strictly prohibited on any format or by any technical method, without permission from the FUEIB and/or the UIB. Users undertake to comply with the Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights owned by the FUEIB and the UIB. You may view the elements on the portal and even print, copy and store them on your computer's hard drive or any other hardware as long as this is solely and exclusively for your personal and private use. Users shall not delete, alter, evade or manipulate any protective device or security system that may be installed on the FUEIB and UIB websites.

3. Privacy

The FUEIB and the UIB comply with the guidelines in Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection and the protection of digital rights, and other current regulations at all times, and shall ensure correct use and processing of users' personal data. To do this, in the services that clients may request they shall, alongside the personal data form, be informed of the existence and acceptance of the specific data processing terms and conditions in each instance, being informed about the responsibility for the file generated, the address of the responsible party, the ability to exercise their rights to access, rectify, cancel and oppose, the purpose for the processing and, where applicable, any communication of information to third parties.

The information shall be collected by the FUEIB or UIB with the sole purpose of managing and processing the different requests of participants at events run by the FUEIB. The collected data shall in no way be used for other purposes or transferred to third parties without consent.

In turn, the FUEIB and UIB hereby state that they comply with Act 34/2002 of 11th July on the Information Society and Electronic Commerce Services and shall request consent for processing e-mail addresses for commercial purposes at all times.

4. Liability Disclaimer

The FUEIB and the UIB shall in no way be liable for any damage that the following, by way of example, may cause: errors or omissions in the content, lack of portal availability or the transmission of viruses or malicious or harmful programs in the content, despite having taken all the necessary technological measures to avoid this.

The FUEIB and the UIB accept no liability either for the possible inappropriate use that third parties may make of the website, or the information transmitted over it to third parties. The content provided over this website is merely informative whereby the use of said content which users may make and the possible effects, damage or consequences that may arise from it are the sole responsibility of the users. The FUEIB and the UIB reserve the right the take the legal actions they deem necessary arising from any unlawful uses of the website content by third parties.

5. Modifications

The FUEIB and the UIB may, at any time and without the need for prior warning, make changes and updates to the information contained on the website, or its configuration or presentation. The FUEIB and the UIB make every possible effort to ensure the information supplied over the website is clear, understandable and appropriate, as well as to avoid errors as far as possible and, where applicable, fix or update them. Nonetheless, the FUEIB and the UIB cannot guarantee there are no errors or that the information is permanently up-to-date.

In turn, the FUEIB and the UIB reserve the right to carry out modifications to the portal that they deem appropriate, without prior notice, possibly changing, deleting or adding whatever content and services are provided over it, as well as how the latter are presented or located on the portal.

In the event that this website has links or hyperlinks to other websites on the internet, the FUEIB and UIB shall have no control whatsoever over said sites and content. Why do we process your data and what is the legal ground for that processing?

We process the details requested in the registration form, based user consent, for the following purposes: a.- Registering new users who wish to use the services. This information is required in order for users to access the platform b.- Providing information about events organised by the Fundació Universitat-Empresa de les Illes Balears MP or by the Universitat de les Illes Balears

How long will we retain your data?

The information required to use the platform and send information on events will be kept until the user withdraws their consent or exercises their right to erasure. In any event, after the processing has finalised, the information will be blocked and only accessible by legal authorities, courts or tribunals for a minimum of three years from this date.

Recipients of your data.

We do not transfer your personal details. We use the tool for event creation and promotion supplied by Symposium (Avda Alcalde Barnils, núm. 64, 08190 Sant Cugat del Valls, Barcelona. C.I.F: B66313776), which provides us with services in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679. We have authorised this company to store your details on cloud services within the European Union, in full compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation.

How can you exercise your rights?

You may exercise your right of access and right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and object to processing and/or withdraw your consent by: a.- Sending an e-mail from an official events account or from the same e-mail account used to register on the platform b.- Sending a letter addressed to Carretera Valldemossa Km 7,5 - 07122 Palma. Documents accrediting your identity or representation by a third party and, where applicable, justifying your request must be attached to this letter.
